EmailAn Introduction to Bum Marketing
If you're new to the online marketing area, one of the easiest ways to get start with making money online is through bum marketing.
It's relatively easy to get started making money online with just a little bit of simple marketing know-how. In a nutshell, success in Internet marketing is seen when you are able to match the product you're promoting in front of the right audience who is looking to purchase.
It's always smart to find a niche and stick to it. A niche is essentially a specific market which you can specifically cater to. It will be easier for you to dominate this niche, and thus see profits from your sales.
Through the power of submitting articles to article directories, bum marketing makes it possible so that anyone can with little marketing experience can start making money online within a short period of time.
Bum marketing essentially boils down to three steps. Research, write, and submit. Each step has its necessary place, and the following paragraphs will shed some light on each one.
The first step should always be research. Look into a few niches which you feel have strong marketing potential. Niches in Internet business, gadgets, electronics, or any other consumer item that has affiliate programs you can promote would generally be a good idea. Be careful when tackling competitive markets, like satellite television, as it might take more effort and time to see success from what you do.
Research keywords! This is an important step in researching, as you'll write your articles around the keyword research you find. Go for low competition keywords, but make sure they are still targeted and have relation to the products you're trying to sell.
The next step is to write your article. Make sure the article interests the market you are trying to target. If you're promoting weight loss products, your article should be topics of interest to someone looking to lose weight. The article should be a well-written, quality article. If the article doesn't attract the readers attention for very long, your market efforts won't be as effective. As a result, you won't earn as much money as you could have with a well written article.
The final step is to submit your article to directories. Some like the ease of using automated article submitters to get this job done quickly, and yet others like the results that manual submissions bring. Automatic article submission isn't as effective as manual submissions, but it would be a good idea to try both methods out. If you have a website relating to the topic already, it might be a good idea to publish the article you've written on your website first. Others say that you get better results when submitting completely unique articles to directories, however. You'll have to decide what you want to do.
Be careful! Before submitting your articles, always double check the affiliate links in your articles to make sure they are live and clickable. If they aren't live, people won't click and you won't earn.
After you've submitted your articles to the top article directories and then some, you'll have to do some waiting. It takes time for search engine spiders to crawl the articles and start indexing your articles in the search engine.
Some article directories frown on direct affiliate links in the articles themselves. Some clever webmasters have resorted to linking to private affiliate landing pages within their articles. If you point your links to real websites that you own, you'll get more acceptance from the article directories who have rules against direct affiliate links.
