I have to say that I didn't put a whole lot of thought behind the skin I chose for my site. I was basically looking for something that would work the way it was. No changes required, just load it up and fill in the blanks. That was before I new what I was doing.

Now I look at what I have created and I wonder if the color scheme is right for me and how hard would it be to change it? How can I add more plugins so that I am not limited to what content I have on the site?

So, my question is what sort of things should a novice like myself think about before picking a skin? There are so many things that I didn't consider because I didn't know any better. Is there a basic set of rules or a checklist that everyone should go over when deciding on a skin? If I have picked the wrong skin, is it too late for me to consider changing?

Increasing the amount of plugin spaces in a skin is easy,, the only hurdle is that you will have to rearrange your plugins once the skin is adjusted.

In Theory, you would
-edit the skin to include more plugin spaces.
-then switch to another skin (saving plugin posititions)
-uninstall the skin your are using
-upload the modified files of that skin
-reinstall skin within admin panel
-switch to that skin (saving plugin positions again)

Now that you will have the same skin skin but the plugin spaces will be different so plugins will appear displaced on the site and need to be replaced in the proper plugin spaces.

As for the changes themselves, I see you are using the Luna skin. I'll take a look at this later.
