We recently talked about cPanel support for Microsoft Frontpage extensions being phased out,,, perhaps recently announced news that Frontpage will be discontinued has something to do with it! While Frontpage is discontinued, it seems as more of an evolution into hopefully bigger and better things for Microsoft. Interesting enough is that new offerings claim to work towards enabling designers to maintain exceptional standards-based web sites,,,, makes you wonder what the heck they were thinking considering past web development nightmares such as Microsoft's Internet Explorer 6, thank goodness it is discontinued!

We will continue to serve the diverse needs of our existing FrontPage customers with the introduction of two brand-new application building and Web authoring tools using the latest technologies: Office SharePoint Designer 2007 for the enterprise information workers and Expression Web for the professional Web designer.
Microsoft's has announced the introduction of two new tools for application building and Web authoring:
- Microsoft Office SharePoint Designer 2007: Automate your business processes and build efficient applications on top of the SharePoint platform, and tailor your SharePoint site to your needs
- Microsoft Expression Web: Take advantage of the best of dynamic Web site design, enabling you to design, develop, and maintain exceptional standards-based Web sites.
